  1. Assuming that is a reference to the forced redefinition of the term, “marriage”, on an entire nation–love won nothing. Because marriage never had anything to do with love, in the first place. Marriage was developed many thousands of years ago for very practical reasons. The notion of marrying for love is a recent one–less than a century old, even in the United States. In fact, marrying for love is a luxury. Yes, our ancestors, worldwide usually came to love one another in marriage–but this was not the reason they married.

    1. All this may be true. But what is also true is that many people today marry for love.
      And, if that is what they want to do, they should be allowed to by the system in which we find ourselves and help create.
