As of right now, ‘Invocation’ is finally released!
To make it your own just click on the links in the sidebar to: Bandcamp or iTunes.
Also: if you download the track from Bandcamp during the FIRST WEEK of release, you will receive: my entire first album (worth £5) as a ‘Thankyou’ bonus. ABSOLUTELY FREE. ;-)
(Important note: this is only if you get it from: Bandcamp and only if you get it in the first week. OK?)
So, why is it *really* important that you buy this piece of music?
That is a good question, with a few answers. The first, easiest, and best is: ‘Invocation’ is a stunningly beautiful piece of music. I truly love it, and I want to share it with you.
In a larger sense, the reason that I can create things like ‘Invocation’, and put them out into the world is purely because of the direct support of people like you. I am a fully independent artist, there is no middleman here. What that means is: each and every purchase goes directly to me and is funnelled into: making new things to share with you. Each download, each ‘share’, and each review, is like a digital vote for: ‘more of that please’.
And I am proudly asking for your vote. ;-)
Please get the track, you will be glad you did – it is a beautiful gift that keeps on giving. And when you’ve heard it in all its glory, feel free to hit me up in the comments and let me know what you thought of it.
And last (but by no means least) I just want to say: Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for your ongoing connection and support. You are literally the reason that I can do what I do and I am profoundly grateful for you.
Be well always, and I’ll see you soon.
– J
My name is James Radcliffe and I am a 100% audience supported independent artist. If you like what I do (and can afford it) then please consider buying some of my music. Each purchase really makes a big difference to me and 10% of every sale goes to a charity which: houses, feeds, clothes, and educates orphaned children in Nepal.
Also, every month I send out a newsletter packed with Interesting and Exclusive Things. If you sign up today you’ll also get 3 FREE tracks of my music as a welcome gift.
And lastly, if you’d like to find out what I’m up to on a more day-to-day basis then here is my brain on Twitter:
Really cool track man. Looking forward to checking out more of your stuff :)

Exceeded all my highest expectations. Invocation sounds something like you would hear the forest whispering to the stars during the darkest part of the night. Or perhaps the ocean singing to the shoreline at dusk. Beautiful, beautiful work, James. xx

Reblogged this and commented:
I’m listening to this album, Invocation, by James Radcliffe, right now for the first time. It’s atmospheric and meditative, a perfect album for reading, or lying in bed while gazing out at the grey sky (which is what I’ve been doing for the first few songs.) Check it out!

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I am really glad you like it.
It is actually a single track ‘Invocation’, with my Album ‘I’ bolted on as a bonus for you.
It makes me really happy that they fit together for you as a single piece.
I hope you are having a great night, I love that you are enjoying the music, and thanks for taking the time to write,

Whoops! Sorry about that. I assumed it was all one. Yes, they do fit together for me.
BTW, I love the piano part in the middle of “Untitled”, which adds a lightness to the whole piece.

No problem. That is actually really cool.
When I wrote the piano part I thought I’d heard it before. I held off finishing the piece whilst I tried to remember where. It drove me a little crazy, but I *finally* realised that it was a piece I had written a few years before.
So I actually was stealing from myself.
Which is allowed. ;-)

I love it, It’s seriously one of the most original and provocative pieces of music I have heard in a long, long time! It’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve been thinking a lot about the ritualistic practices I go through as a dancer who uses classical ballet in her work. ‘Class’ is a daily ritual, we’re all trying to invoke something in our bodies so that one day we completely transcend what we are doing. This music fits that perfectly, in particular the repetition-repetition-repetition aspect. It’s bringing to mind something like a Kundalini kriya with pointe shoes!
Congratulations, you beautiful little creator ;)

You have made me a really, really happy creator, dancer, ;-)

Mmmmm yeah I’m going to need a while here. But ahead of the ramble you couldn’t prevent if you tried . . . . to me, this is the glorious sound of the truth of a thing. A mysterious, dark, secrety, splitting thing that needed to be told.
Many times over. :)
Love and light, sir James,
always, always,
