This Is The Day…

“This is the day, long awaited.  This is the fight of your life.”

Hey hey beautiful people out there in the net.

My album will be released in under 9 weeks.

Yesterday, I had my last scheduled day off until release day.  Jen and I went to see some friends and checked out our first Roller Derby (if you don’t know what this is, you can find out, here).  It was a lot of fun, it was brutal, it was a good time.

All the preparation is now done.  All the sketches and ideas are in place.  Now it’s time to make the pieces that will stand by themselves and travel off into the world.  I’ve never worked as hard on anything in my life.  I’ve never wanted to work as hard on anything before.

Music is one of the most beautiful things we do, create, and experience as human beings.  It has a value far beyond the monetary price we pay for it.  It is the closest thing to real magic I have ever experienced.  It can engage you, lift you up and take you to places you have never been.  Music can be ecstatic, it can be light-filled, it can break your heart.  People listen to music when they go to war, when they want to sleep, when they make love.  It is an integral part of us, and is woven thru the fabric of our lives.  A life without music would be like a life without colour.

As I type this, Jen is in the kitchen, listening to classical music, making presents and baking a christmas cake.

I think I’m going to have to wait until next year to see santa; This year, I’m going to be busy. 😉

Over the next 8 weeks I’ll be making announcements to do with the album here, on this blog.  I’ll also be posting some cool pre-release stuff, and breaking some exciting news and media.

Thanks for checking in.  I hope you are well.

    1. Thankyou so much – I am really glad you liked it.
It is, absolutely an ongoing process and evolution. It’s one of the reasons that I like doing things this way, once the record drops, I get to just keep doing my thing.
Your message really made me smile – you brightened my day, 😉
      I wish you the best,
